1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use LoungeMatch. LoungeMatch is intended for professional networking. New members and people resuming incomplete signup must explicitly confirm they are 18 or older before completing signup or using member features. This is a self-declaration, not verification of age. Members who completed signup before this requirement was introduced are not asked retrospectively; the minimum-age requirement still applies to them.
2. Your account
You sign in through Google, Apple, or LinkedIn. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials with those providers secure. Provide accurate information and keep your profile truthful.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users.
- Post false, misleading, unlawful, or offensive content.
- Send spam, mislead others about your intentions, or persist with unwanted sales or recruiting after someone declines. Respectful, mutually welcome professional discussion is not itself misconduct.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you're not authorized to access.
- Collect or scrape other users' information.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.

5. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the content you create (your profile, messages, ratings, and notes). By posting it, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display it as needed to operate the service. You're responsible for the content you share and must have the right to share it.
6. Confidential feedback, reports, and moderation
Where available, optional confidential feedback helps authorized staff understand connection experiences. Submit feedback and reports honestly; do not coordinate false complaints or retaliate against someone who sets a boundary. We distinguish misconduct, self-reported meeting reliability and personal fit. A disappointing interaction, declining an invitation, unmatching, blocking, or leaving an uncomfortable meeting is not by itself misconduct. Tell your counterpart promptly if you cannot attend an agreed meeting.
Feedback is not a public score. Cancellation and no-show claims are not verified attendance. When you report a conversation, you agree that we may review the chat history you include to assess that report; this does not authorize routine reading of all private chats.
Human review may lead to a warning, time-limited restriction on new introductions, temporary suspension or permanent ban. Severe safety concerns may require prompt protective action while a case is reviewed. Feedback thresholds flag cases for review; they do not automatically impose sanctions. We provide a policy-category explanation and an account-status/appeal route without exposing another member's private feedback. Staff review appeals and may reverse decisions. Do not attempt to evade an active ban.
Feedback and reporting are not emergency services and do not imply continuous monitoring. If you face immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
7. Premium subscriptions
LoungeMatch offers a free tier and an optional annual Premium subscription. The full store-localized annual charge and renewal terms are shown before purchase. There is no monthly plan or trial unless the purchase screen expressly says otherwise. Premium includes worldwide venue selection, expanded profile selections, Premium-only request controls, and five worldwide opt-in remote introductions per UTC calendar month with no rollover.
- Billing is handled through the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), subject to their terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings.
- You can restore an eligible purchase while signed into the LoungeMatch account that should receive access. Purchases do not merge separate LoungeMatch accounts, and buying under multiple accounts may create duplicate-subscription risk.
- Cancellation normally leaves Premium available through the paid period. Refunds, revocations, expiry, and store billing decisions may end access. Pending or failed purchases do not unlock Premium.
- Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.
Remote introductions require the recipient to opt in and still require ordinary mutual acceptance before chat. Blocks, safety restrictions, and recipient controls always apply. A sent eligible request uses one allowance even if it is declined; failed and duplicate sends do not. Premium is not identity or professional-quality verification.
Deleting your LoungeMatch account or the app does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel recurring billing separately in your Apple or Google store settings before deleting your account.
We may change Premium features or offerings over time; we'll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.
8. Termination
You may stop using LoungeMatch and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect users or the service.
9. Disclaimers
LoungeMatch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that you'll make connections, that other users are who they claim to be, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LoungeMatch and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users or your use of the service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
